Simpson Bay Resort has officially reopened its doors. The property, which includes a mix of 336 suites and 83 two-bedroom villas, had been closed in the wake of Hurricane Irma last fall. While it has been operational for several months, the property has been urging guests to wait to vacation on the island until March 3, given the need for a recovery in tourism infrastructure on the island, according to a statement on the hotel’s Web site.

Simpson Bay will rejoin several hotels that have already reopened their doors.

Several others will reopen this year, including Belair Beach, Divi Little Bay, Oyster Bay.
